Cyber Security Upgrade

  • Premier Care Monthly will now include our new SOCaaS and XDR enhanced security solutions.

Enhanced Premier Care Offering

Cyber-protection has changed a lot over the past two years.  With large-scale increases in cyber-crime, businesses need a higher standard of security.  After more than 12 months of targeted research into frontline defensive technology, Premier Technology Solutions will begin providing a more comprehensive Premier Care Monthly offering.

Standard SPAM filter and anti-virus solutions are no longer enough to protect our clients and end users. With increasingly numbers of sophisticated attacks against both big and small businesses, even minor weaknesses are vulnerable to exploitation.

To deliver best-in-class defences, Premier Technology Solutions has invested in a Security Operation Centre, which can be added to your Premier Care Monthly for an additional $15.00 per user per month. This will be the new standard offering for Premier Care – if you prefer to opt out, you will be issued with a notification of business risk.

Our revised Premier Care Monthly offering will include access to both the Premier Care SOCaaS (Security Operation Centre as a Service) and our new XDR (eXtended Detection and Response) solution from Trend Micro.

Every user in your organisation will have access to:

  • XDR with 24×7 SOCaaS
  • XDR threat hunting
  • Cloud app security
  • Advanced spam filtering
  • Advanced anti-virus protection
  • Advanced endpoint protection
  • Advanced C-suite protection
  • Data loss mitigation
  • Access to cyber-security detection and reporting portal

Complimentary Services

To help your organisation adapt to current threat environments, our customer success managers (CSMs) will provide additional support for day-to-day requests, run and administer our Premier Aware program, and provide cyber-security and -awareness training to help improve your overall risk score.

Your virtual chief information officer (vCIO) may have also discussed the necessity of cyber-insurance for response planning – contact them for more information about cyber-insurance and cyber-awareness training.

Finally, we know that added costs aren’t easy for every organisation to manage.  To make the transition to our new Premier Care offering seamless, we’re also offering the following complimentary services for organisations that choose not to opt out.

  • Upgrade of security patching to included up to 53 third-party applications (see white paper for listed applications), which would normally be charged as a professional service
  • Access to the new Premier Technology Solutions portal – log tickets, view ticket statuses, and, coming soon, view and pay all Premier Tech invoices, view all Premier Technology Solutions professional services, view project statuses, and receive updates and communications
  • Support for Mac and MacBook devices (limited to monitoring, XDR, Microsoft apps, and DNS filtering)
  • Annual cyber-security risk assessment scanning and reporting

Combined, these services total AU$43,780.00 in annual value.

Extended Support Hours

Before the end of 2022, we’ll increase our standard support hours, with the revised times being 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday to Friday. If you don’t opt out of our new Premier Care Monthly offering, you’ll receive more than 40 hours of included support per month. Combined with the additional support hours we delivered at the beginning of 2021, your monthly support will be more than 80 hours above the industry standard.

These increased support times will help offset out-of-hours surcharges, which will also be raised from 30 April 2022, and will bolster support for clients based in New Zealand and western Australian time zones.

Federal Budget Deduction

By choosing to stay with Premier Care Monthly, you’ll be eligible for the new deductions scheme announced in the 2022 federal budget. 

Under the scheme, businesses with less than $50M in annual turnover can claim spend on new technologies and training courses to upskill staff will be able to claim 120% of the costs as deductions.

If you’re not sure our new Premier Care Monthly offering is necessary for your organisation, contact your vCIO or one of our customer success managers.  To opt out, please inform us, in writing, by 5 p.m. Friday 22 April 2022. If you don’t opt out, we’ll move forward with upgrading your solution to the new standard.

Please note that upgrading from our legacy Premier Care Monthly offering after 22 April will incur a retail cost of $25.00 per month per user and a professional onboarding fee.  The complimentary $43,780.00 services package will also not be included.
